I've added a new form of meditation to my daily routine.
While my husband reads Good Night Moon to my son I stretch out on the bed, close my eyes and listen.
Having heard this bedtime tale at least 100x the words become a rhythmic chant and my mind goes blank.
In my yoga practice, I consciously repeat "Breath in, Breath out" or "Receive/Release" to focus my monkey mind away from wandering thoughts.
Maybe my mind is calmer at the end of the day. Maybe my husband's voice is particularly soothing. Either way, to experience nothing for 3 minutes everyday is nourishing to my soul.
