My son's streak of independence during mealtimes has re-ignited my desire to be a Goddess in the kitchen.
Forget Coq au Vin Chicken or Boeuf Bourguignon! This chef caters to the desires of her diner.
And so, I am a culinary student of the "finger foods".
Broccoli and Cheddar Cheese sticks
Turkey and Carrot Meatballs
Sweet Potato Fries
Tofu Cubes coated in Cinnamon
True, none of the above requires much skill (if any) but preparing these "dishes" has broadened our family menu.
In brainstorming new ways to nourish our son, my husband and I prepared three new dinner dishes (winter green lasagna, chicken & sun dried tomatoes with penne pasta, and an artichoke & chicken casserole)!
Perhaps my new knowledge will bring me a step closer to cracking open Julia's Mastering the Art of French Cooking?
A girl can daydream:)
