So many depressing headlines to skim in the paper today.
I don't even realize that I am frowning as I flip the pages.....

......until I read that Alice Munro, one of my all time favorite writers, has won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Then I feel myself break into a smile.

I read, 

'Ms. Munro is only the 13th woman to win the prize since its inception more than a hundred years ago.'

Here is a sample of her exquisite writing:
