After he bathes and brushes his teeth, Oscar grabs his Cee-Cee and climbs into my bed.
Before we read he tells me his "Word of the Day".
I carefully write the word.
Then he punches a hole through the paper and we slide it onto the ring.
If he's in the mood we look through the words.
My 2 year old's diary:
Coyote.
Blackberry.
Hose.
Wall.
See-Saw.
Cee-Cee.
Fire fighter
Toot
Flute
Pajama Top.
Bike.
Picture.
Horton.
Baseball.
Bang-bang.
Each word *means* something to him. Some are parts of stories or experiences we have shared.
My favorites are the words that just make him laugh simply because, to him, they sound funny.
