I know, I know. Who writes long emails?! And who has time to reply?!
A confession: I write lengthy emails. Not all the time, but more often than not.
Recently, I wrote to update a group of my college friends.
I expected brief replies (but hoped for more:) Life is busy. They are connected on Facebook.
Aren't they up-to-speed on each others lives already?
Turns out, they just knew the "bullet points" and wanted to know more.
Within 48 hours, each friend responded.
Each friend responded with an in depth reply to all of us.
I was delighted.
I loved reading about new relationships, travels, wedding planning, pregnancy and career opportunities.
But the best best part was "hearing" their voices in the humorous details and descriptions.
Facebook, twitter and texts keep us in touch. But email still keeps us connected.
