"What is wrong with moms nowadays?" seems to be the trending topic for op-eds, magazine features and newspaper columns lately.
I keep seeing mom archetypes idolized and critiqued:
Have a laugh Tiger Moms!
Breast up Formula Moms!
Back off Helicopter Moms!
Lean in Working Moms!
And pass the baguette French Moms, because American Moms should be skinny and sexy with polite bilingual enfants too!
I don't find truth in any of this.
Actually, I did read some words of wisdom from a famous, some may say powerful mom, that sums up a parenting philosophy I believe *parents* can get behind:
"If you bungle raising your kids, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much". - Jackie Onassis
