Lately, we've been talking about good manners.
Our 2 year old is tuning into taking turns and saying "please".
I'd say he is really getting the hang of it.
* Our garbageman, Francisco, gave him a new Waste Management hat a week ago. One day while we were painting, Oscar said," Let's make Francisco a note". He was thrilled to give Francisco the "thank you" note today:)
* At the beach with friends, Oscar asks for his snack and then walks to each person and offers his Cheezits.
* Everyone in our family has a cold. Oscar keeps a tissue in his crib in case he needs to wipe his nose (instead of using his blanket).
It is so fun to see how Oscar carries over these little lessons in his life. And his enthusiasm for using "good manners" is a great reminder for me to keep my elbows off the table:)
