What makes a relationship last?
Love. Trust. Attraction. Commitment.
And may I add, pride in your spouse?
Last night my heart overflowed with pride when my husband received a "Volunteer of the Year" award.
Of course, the plaque and the recognition are lovely.
But it was his acceptance speech that washed a wave of emotion over me.
He spoke humbly and with such honesty about how this community of individuals truly inspires him.
He meant every word.
At the podium, in front of a few hundred people, he spoke from the heart.
A heart that I know and love so very much.
