Plans for our trip home are coming together.
We'll be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary in the very Nantucket house where we married.
This house has weathered many storms over the past 9 years.
When the beach began to slip away, the house was lifted and tucked up against the property line of the sandy road.
Then the house grew taller with the help of stilts, so that the morning tide would tickle the treelike beams and not the footprint covered floors.
This summer many fingers are crossed for the water and electricity to be up and running.
Regardless of the changes, the house stands; giving shelter and framing the view for our loved ones for one more summer.
And hopefully many more!
